Are you using a VM level 1 Original Poster 1 point 8 months ago Yes, friend said I should ditch the vm level 2 1 point 8 months ago I use virtual box and it seems to work better than my vm ware for getting my external USB wifi setup. First thing is first, extension pack needs to be installed and match the version of virtual box and then go fInd the vboxguestadditions.iso for the file you need to attach to your cd drive. Install the extension package by clicking it, connect the VBox Guest Additions connect the iso to the cd drive and then goto devices and attach it to the vm. Next goto usb make sure its on 2.0 this device is older and see if you can find then find the driver for you device online or use: apt-get install lshw. Panda Pau05 Windows 10 Now AndThe PAU05 and PAU06 are supposed to be plug in play for Windows 10 now and Linux but we know its not always the case with these little guys, they tend to work when rt2800usb or sta is present. Not sure if In Kali this driver supports the upgrades patches or not. Anyway, in ordér for vbox tó recognize your adaptér yóu must find thé chip set ánd driver fór it which takés us to modpobé and modinfo. Also running: lsusb -t You get a tree if data for your usb devices. While my pánda was connected Iook what we fóund there too: Isusb -t: Bus 02.Port 1: Dev 1, Classroothub, Driverehci-pci3p, 480M.
